Tonya Flory spent her childhood drowning in a broken system. Determined to navigate through the terrain of a broken foster care system, she clung to hope and learned to survive day by day.
The lingering effects of the neglectful system plagued her throughout her young adult life. Determined to persevere, and refusing to give up, she continued to triumph.
Tonya now works with youth children as a coach, a substitute teacher, and a CASA, advocating for the voiceless children in the same system that failed her.
